Black is a Boston-raised and Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist whose work is deeply introspective and strives to challenge normalized language and discourse around identity. They find fulfillment when using various art forms as tools for education, healing, and liberation. In the past, Black has been the coach and director for youth theater and poetry groups throughout Boston, as well as a freelance performer, community organizer and teaching artist. After having received their B.A. in Communication with a double minor in Theater and African Diaspora Studies from Boston College, Black is continuing their education at Lesley University in pursuit of an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy.
