Saaji Abdul-Hameem
Saaji (they/them) is a queer writer, artist, creative strategist, and podcast host. They were born and raised in Northern California and currently reside in Chicago, IL. Saaji has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Black Studies. Their professional experience has allowed them to work in a myriad of fields, such as community development, education, and social services. Saaji is passionate about social justice, empowering others, holistic healing, and community building. Their work centers on Black LGBTQ+ healing and joy while also exposing the truth of navigating the world in their body. When they aren’t at YEPP, they’re finding something new to learn, doing yoga, meditating, eating good food, or embracing the beauty in all its forms around them.
